GDCW Kathua Hosts Awareness Programme on Sexual Harassment at the Workplace

Kathua: Government Degree College for Women (GDCW), Kathua organized an awareness programme on Sexual Harassment at the Workplace under the aegis of the CASH Committee, under the guidance of Prof. Jaipal Singh, Principal of the College. The initiative aimed to sensitize students and staff members about the legal provisions, preventive strategies, and redressal mechanisms available to address workplace sexual harassment.
The programme featured Ms. Ankansha and Mrs. Neeraj from the District Legal Services Authority as Resource Persons. They delivered insightful sessions highlighting legal rights, responsibilities, and practical approaches to ensure a safe and respectful working environment.
The event began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Amita Dua. Several faculty members were present on the occasion, including Dr. Seema Jolly, Dr. Inderjeet Kour, Dr. Romika, Dr. Ambica, Dr. Ritu Kumar, Dr. Nasir, Dr. Mukesh Kumari, and Prof. Vibha. The proceedings of the programme were efficiently conducted by Dr. Ambica.
The awareness programme was successfully organized by Dr. Rachna, Convener of the CASH Committee. Participants highly appreciated the initiative for its relevance, clarity, and informative nature, emphasizing the importance of continuous awareness to promote a safe academic and professional environment.
