Samba: March 05, 2026: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers & peddlers, Samba Police has arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered approximately 10.72 grams heroin-like substance (chitta) from their
possession.

Vijaypur, intercepted a Mahindra Scorpio bearing registration No. JK02AB-0002 for its
checking which was coming from Samba side and moving towards Vijaypur side. During
checking, approximately 10.72 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) was recovered
from the possession of two persons travelling in the said vehicle.
The drug peddlers identified as Rafiq Ahmed S/o Abdul Farooq R/o Ragoora district
Jammu and Ali S/o Mohd Din R/o Lower Ragoora district Jammu have been arrested. The
contraband item along with vehicle has also been seized by the police.
A case FIR No. 40/2026 u/s 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and
investigation started.
