Trump administration proposes ending the up-to-60-day grace period for H-1B and several other employment-based visa holders after they lose their jobs.
The DHS proposal, covering E-1, E-2, E-3, H-1B, H-1B1, L-1, O-1 and TN visa classifications and their dependents, would require affected workers to leave the US immediately unless otherwise authorised to remain, if finalised.
