Indian Army’s Medical and Veterinary Camp Brings Vital Healthcare to Remote Village of Kiar, Dachhan Region, Kishtwar (J&K)

  The Indian Army, in its unwavering commitment to community welfare and healthcare, successfully organized a comprehensive medical and veterinary camp in the remote village of Kiar, situated in the Dachhan region of Kishtwar district. This initiative aimed to bridge the healthcare gap for the local residents, who often faced the challenge of traveling to Kishtwar for medical attention, both for themselves and their livestock.

  Led by the Regimental Medical Officer of the Indian Army, Dul, in collaboration with the district medical staff, the medical and veterinary camp served as a beacon of hope for the villagers, providing them with essential medical services and guidance on health-related matters.

The turnout for the camp was overwhelming, with a total of 225 beneficiaries. Among these, 97 were men, 72 were women, and 33 were children. The well-being of the community’s vital livestock was also addressed, with 23 cattle receiving much-needed care and attention.

  One of the highlights of the camp was an insightful lecture on various health-related topics, delivered by the Regimental Medical Officer. This educational component aimed to empower the villagers with knowledge about maintaining their health and well-being.

   “The Indian Army’s commitment to the well-being of the people is unwavering. This medical and veterinary camp is testament to the dedication of Indian Army in extending vital healthcare services to the farthest corners of Jammu and Kashmir.

The villagers of Kiar and the Dachhan region expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the camp, highlighting the positive impact it has made on their lives. This initiative not only provided critical medical care but also fostered a sense of unity and collaboration between the Indian Army and the populace.

   “We are immensely grateful to the Indian Army for organizing this transformative medical and veterinary camp. It has brought us much-needed healthcare support and has strengthened the bond between our community and the Army,” remarked a resident of Kiar.
