Jammu 6 june 2025: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Dr. Alka Misra, JKAS, Assistant Director Tourism, Katra, along with officials from the Tourist Office Katra, undertook a sanitation and cleanliness drive at the sacred Bhoomika Temple, Katra.
The team also organized a plantation drive in the temple premises to promote environmental sustainability.
As part of the initiative, plastic waste was collected, and a strong message was conveyed to the public:
“Say No to Plastic – It is Harmful to Nature and Future Generations.”
This initiative highlights the commitment of the Tourism Department towards creating a cleaner and greener environment while promoting eco-friendly tourism practices in the region.
