Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in Kerala, Mahe, and South Interior Karnataka for the next two days, and in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand today.
The Met Department issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall in these states today, with strong surface winds expected at isolated places in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Mahe, and Lakshadweep.
The weather agency predicts fairly widespread rainfall across most of the country, except Northwest India’s plains, where isolated to scattered rainfall is likely.
