New Delhi: Addressing the CII Annual Business Summit 2026 on “Next-Gen Labour Reforms: Driving Industry Growth and Job Creation,” Union Labour and Employment Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya said the government has worked towards expanding social security coverage for workers while reducing the compliance burden on industries.
He stated that social security coverage has increased from 29 crore people a decade ago to 94 crore at present.
