Indian Army organised a Medical, Dental and Veterinary Camp for the border area populace and their livestock at Salotri, Poonch. In remote area challenge are further aggravated due to the limited road connectivity, requiring villagers to commute long distances to avail basic medical and veterinary facilities. A joint team of 13 doctors and support staff from the Indian Army and Civil Health Department including specialist practitioners provided medical care, consultation and counselling to the residents of the border areas. A total strength of 557 civilians and 985 animals from the village and other far flung adjoining areas visited to avail medical and veterinary treatment provided during the camp. The genuine efforts taken up by the Indian Army to organise the medical and veterinary camp were appreciated by the villagers.
