Indian Army in its efforts to reach out to the underprivileged sections of society in the remote areas, organised Medical and Veterinary Camp  in Pathalan, Khari Tehsil, Ramban District (J&K). Medical and Veterinary Camp was organised to provide medical facilities the local population and their domestic animals.  Indian Army Medical Officer alongwith civil Veterinary doctors and team of nursing assistants from Indian Army treated approx 362 people including 115 Males, 178 ladies and 69 children. In addition, approximately 117 cattles were also provided treatment by qualified veterinary practitioner. Medical team was voluntarily assisted by locals, anganwadi workers and youth from local QRT. During the day long camp, the prime focus was to render medical assistance to maximum local residents of these far flung areas.


The Medical and Veterinary camp was organised as humanitarian initiative by Indian Army which brought the much needed medical requirement the doorstep of villages of Khari tehsil. The AWWAM appreciated the efforts by Indian Army and responded by expressing their gratitude and desire for more frequent medical camps the future.
