Indian Army organised Volleyball Tournament at Manjakote , Rajouri (J&K). The tournament witnessed the participation of eight Volleyball teams from Rajouri District. The purpose of organising such events is to encourage the youth to follow sports as a career and also display their hidden sports potential. Matches were conducted on league basis. On completion of the matches, semifinals and finals, in strongly contested Final match, played between Peer Panchali Khan Club and Khan Volleyball Club the players displayed their sporting skills and gave pitched fight for each and every point. Peer Panchali Khan Club won the finals. A total 64 players participated and large number of locals attended the match. Winner and Runner up teams were given trophies. The players were also presented with medals for their splendid performance. These matches were organised to inculcate the values of sportsmanship amongst local youth and for promoting sports activities in this region. The youth and the villagers expressed their gratitude to Indian Army in promoting sports in this remote area.
