Army Service Corps celebrated its 261st Corps Day at HQ Western Command Chandimandir on 08 Dec 2021. The solemn occasion was marked by wreath laying ceremony at “Veer Smriti” where Maj Gen Harsh Chhibber, MG ASC, HQ Western Command on behalf of all ASC Officers, JCOs, Jawans and veterans of tricity, paid homage to the Bravehearts for their selfless and supreme sacrifice.
In its long cherished history, the Army Service Corps has displayed exceptional versatility, indomitable spirit and commendable ability to keep pace with the changing operational scenarios. The enviable list of gallantry award winners bear testimony of the Corps valiant prowess. The Corps has also won accolades in sporting and adventure activities both in the National and International arena.
Lt Gen Nav K Khanduri, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command extended his greetings to all ranks, civilian employees, their families and veterans of the Corps on this day. He commended the ASC personnel for their invaluable logistics support all through the pandemic.
On this momentous occasion, the ASC fraternity rededicated itself to continue the march towards excellence in all the fields with utmost professionalism, devotion to duty and above all resolve to follow the motto Seva Asmakam Dharma.
