As part of its social responsibility and for overall awareness of populace Surankote, Poonch, an awareness talk on AIDS was conducted. Its important to remind that HIV has not gone away. There is a still a need to increase awareness, fight prejudice and improve education on AIDS. We must focus on resilience, when it comes to dealing with the ongoing AIDS epidemic and concurrent COVID-19 pandemic. The youth were made aware of what is HIV and AIDS, its sign and symptoms. How it is transmitted. Prevention and Control of HIV and AIDS and about “Red Ribbon Express”. Awareness is the best prevention for AIDS and there is no cure for HIV infection. Endeavor was made to make max people aware through this talk. Awareness of safe practices to prevent HIV infection results in people, being more careful and ultimately it decreases infection rates. The event was appreciated by the youth gathering.
