BLOOD DONATION CAMP ORGANISED BY INDIAN ARMY IN DISTRICT RAJOURI  

Territorial Army (Citizens Army) was raised by India’s 1st Governor General Shri C Rajagopalachari. Since then, the Territorial Army Day is celebrated on 09 Oct every year to commemorate its Raising. On this auspicious occasion Territorial Army organised “Blood Donation” Camp at Patrara, Galuthi in District Rajouri (J&K) as a responsibility and  affection towards AWAAM.  Blood donation is to save life, it is the sign of humanity. The volunteer donors were group of officers, all ranks and their families. The donors were initially medically screened, to ensue that they are healthy and free of any diseases. The doctors and staff of District Hospital Rajouri assisted and collected the blood. The state government medical staff and the people were truly appreciative of this blood donation by the Indian Army persons and their families. This noble gesture will remain embedded in the hearts and minds of receivers and their kith and kin. All healthy human beings should be a volunteer donor as service towards mankind.
