Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, Chairman/CEC of LAHDC, Kargil, held a crucial meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha at Jammu, to discuss and address pressing issues affecting Kargil residents post the reorganization on August 5, 2019.
Dr. Jaffer highlighted several key concerns, including the need for continued reservation quotas in J&K universities for Kargil students and special relaxation for Kargil patients in medical institutions. The Chairman stressed the importance of infrastructure development, urging for amenities in various Kargil Colonies in Jammu.
Additionally, the meeting touched upon the timely settlement of service and pensionary benefits for PSU employees affected by reorganization and exemptions from Octroi for Kargil vehicles at specific locations.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha assured a phased resolution to these issues, expressing gratitude for the productive discussion.
