SDM Jammu (N)Sh. Pawan Kotwal , Tarun Uppal, Dr. Rohit Koul launched “Covid Vaccination Awareness Program in Jammu”, J&K – UT. The Program is an initiative of EngenderHealth and YP foundation and is being implemented in Jammu (J&k) in collaboration with People’s Hut Foundation.
EngenderHealth, a global women’s health focused organisation and The YP Foundation (TYPF), an organisation that develops youth leadership on health, gender & well-being have initiated a campaign for COVID-19-awareness.‘I am the Change – Today and Tomorrow’ Campaign – #I_AcTT : is engaging youth leaders to increase awareness on multiple aspects of COVID-19 including protocols and vaccination among youth, as well as amongst the general population. The project is supported by the World Health Organization (WHO) India, being run in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
People’s Hut Foundation, A National NGO registered with Government of India and Niti Aayog is working in the domains of Health, Education and Relief is taking up the campaign in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir to create COVID-19-awareness around the importance of getting vaccinated by stating facts & busting myths and encourage vaccination while decreasing vaccine hesitancy, among 5000 households. People’s Hut Foundation’s volunteers would be going door to door and giving verbal awareness and distributing Sanjeevani Kits (COVID-19-awareness pamphlets and COVID-19-protective-gear), during the timeline September – October, 2021.
The Campaign is being implemented in 11 States/UTs during the period April to October, 2021. The campaign is also leveraging digital platforms like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp to reach critical masses of young people in targeted geographic areas online.
The project has collaborated with People’s Hut Foundation to carry out on-ground awareness in Jammu, J&K. The Launch was formally done by SDM Jammu (N) Sh. Pawan Kotwal, Mr. Rahul Pandit – Director Ideogram Technologies, Tarun Uppal – Chairperson Nirbhay Bharat Foundation in the presence of Dr. Rohit Koul Director and CEO People’s Hut Foundation
