Government urges bank employees to refrain from strikes, resolve issues through dialogue and ensure uninterrupted banking services.
The appeal comes ahead of the three-day nationwide strike by the United Forum of Bank Unions and other unions and associations in Public Sector Banks from September 28 to 30. The unions are seeking five-day banking and withdrawal of the Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.
Ministry of Finance says the government has decided to keep the PLI scheme in abeyance following discussions.
