To eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and taking Stringent action against Drug Peddlers, Ganderbal Police apprehended Two Drug Peddlers alongwith Contraband Substance in the jurisdiction of PP Shadipora & PP Nagbal.
The Police Parties led by IC PP Shadipora Shri Ashiq Ahmad & IC PP Nagbal shri Fayaz Ahmad, under the supervision of DySP Hqr’s Ganderbal arrested two notorious Drug Peddlers. In the jurisdiction of PP Shadipora, the Police Party, while checking at Gundroshan Naka found a suspicious movement of a person & apprehended him. During his personal search, Contraband Charas like substance was recovered & seized on the spot. The accused got arrest who disclosed his identity as Gulzar Ahmad Peer @ Chorma S/O Gh Rasool Peer R/O Gundroshan.
Meanwhile, under the jurisdiction of PP Nagbal, Snap Naka was established at Rangil & one person who was coming from Nagbal to Rangil was stopped for checking. During his personal search, Charas like substance was recovered & seized on spot. The accused got arrest & disclosed his identity as Javid Ahmad Kumar S/O Habibullah Kumar R/O Rangil.
In this regard, Case FIR No.s 43/2023 & 44/2023 under relevant sections of law were registered in PS Ganderbal, and investigation has been taken up.
The swift action by Ganderbal Police has been applauded by the general public. The strict legal action against drug peddlers will continue in the future also. People are requested to co-operate with J&K Police in eliminating the severe menace of drugs.
