Poonch : 27 Sep 2023: Indian Army in its quest to empower the womenfolk of the region with vocational skill has commenced a Stitching & Tailoring Course at the newly inaugurated “Ameen Silai institute for Women at Kulali in District Poonch (J&K).
The course being conducted as part of the ongoing Sadbhavana initiative will impart training on basic stitching, measurements, embroidery and marketing of finished products. The 20 trainees, were enthusiastic and confident that the classes would provide them with requisite skills for self-employment, thereby adding to the household income.
