On popular demand of locals of Gundna, Indian Army organised a motivational lecture to spread awareness about the serious issues caused because of abuse of psychoactive drugs & substances drug abuse. The aim is to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of a national society free of drug abuse. The lecture was organised to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug and encourage people to reduce or completely stop the drug abuse in any form. To educate people about the bad effects of drug abuse on health, Indian Army organised a motivational lecture with the slogan ‘Chase your Dreams, not Drugs’ at Senior Secondary School at Wanipura (Gundna) by the Indian Army in alignment with ‘PM Jan Arogya Yojana’.
A large No of people attended the lecture. The lecture was organised under the regularly conducted motivational series for youth by the Indian Army. The purpose of organising the motivational lecture was to focus on the impact of drug on the cardiovascular health of people. While interacting with the students, the speaker emphasised the health and other risks associated with drug and advocated for effective policies to stop drug abuse. Drug is responsible for several deaths each year. It is extremely important to save the present and future generation from the devastating health consequences of the substance abuse. The event was a noble undertaking by the Indian Army to empower the youth of our district, further strengthening the bond between the Indian Army and the people. The participants had glowing reviews and feedback for the event with many hoping such an undertaking to be conducted regularly.
