Reasi: 13 Mar 2025: In a continued effort to promote health and well-being, the Indian Army organized an awareness lecture on No Smoking Day at the remote location of Batsiyala district Reasi. The initiative aimed to educate local residents, especially the youth, about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and the importance of leading a smoke-free life. Medical experts and Army officials conducted informative sessions, highlighting the risks associated with smoking, including lung diseases, cancer and heart ailments. The lecture also emphasized government initiatives and support systems available to help individuals quit smoking.

As part of the program, interactive discussions were held to address myths about smoking, and personal counselling was provided to those willing to quit. Participants expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for their efforts in spreading awareness and promoting a healthier lifestyle in remote regions.
