Indian Army organised a lecture at Marhot, Poonch District to emphasize the important role played by education in the progress of the society. The lecture highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the Government to promote literacy in the country. The existing Government schemes designed specifically for younger school going children, girls, higher education etc were explained to the audience for improving the academic performance and for a brighter future. The audience applauded the sustained efforts of the Indian Army towards supporting education at grass roots level through multiple programs.
