DODA, March 30: With the aim of reducing global warming and as a part of the Green J&K campaign, the ANMT School Doda organized a massive plantation drive in the school premises at CMO Office Doda on Saturday.
The drive was held under the supervision of Principal ANMT Doda Smt Anusuya Bhan, which saw active participation from both students and staff members of ANMT Doda.
Principal Anusuya Bhan commenced the event by enlightening the students and staff about the significance of tree plantation, added that the aim of plantation drive was to make people aware of the importance of trees and to enhance the ‘Jan Bhagidari’ in planting tress so that everyone can realize their responsibilities towards planting trees. Following this, a variety of plant species were diligently planted across the college campus.
On this occasion, the students and staff planted trees with great enthusiasm.
Those present included Smt Indra Devi (Sr Tutor), Naveed Anjum (Tutor) and Saima Kouser (Tutor).
A plea was also taken for a greener environment with focus on taking care of planted trees.
One of the notable aspects of this programme was the emphasis on nurturing a sense of environmental advocacy among the students.
