Retrieve Covid-19 orphans sold by fraud NGO: Salman Butt Urges DC Pulwama

‘Govt. must initiate a thorough probe into the matter’

SRINAGAR, December 04: Apni Party Youth State Secretary Salman Butt on Saturday urged Deputy Commissioner Pulwama to take stern action against the NGO members who were found involved in selling the children of COVID-19 victims.

In a statement issued here, Butt said that it is extremely unfortunate and disgraceful to witness that a non-government welfare organization was caught up in trafficking and sale of Covid-19 orphans.

“This has sent shockwaves among the people who now demand a strict action against the guilty so that an example is set for those who are concerned about material gains while feigning to be serving the people,” he said.

Salman demanded that an immediate high-level probe needs to be initiated in this matter so that the number of child souls illegally adopted is unambiguously ascertained.

“By busting such a vicious child selling racket, it has become imperative for the administration to trace out every single child soul displaced and sold outside. Furthermore, the government and people need to remain more vigilant in the future in order to avoid such hapless incidents,” he said.
