Samba, May 17 : Continuing its drive against illicit liquor sale launched on the
directions of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, police has arrested three (03) notorious
bootleggers and recovered from their possession desi illicit liquor along with utensils
& still apparatus used for manufacturing illicit desi liquor. Huge quantity of desi
lahaan was also destroyed on the spot.
The three arrested bootleggers have been identified as Sham Lal s/o Mansa
Ram r/o Majalta district Udhampur, Khurshid Ali s/o Hakam Din r/o Tara tehsil Dansal
district Jammu and Puran Singh s/o Jaimal Singh r/o Dassian tehsil Ghagwal district
Samba. A case FIR No. 113/2023 u/s 48(a)/48(b)/48(e)/48(f) Excise act was
registered at Police Station Samba through PP Goran and investigations have been
started.
The arrests have been arrested by a police team comprising of Incharge Police
Post Goran PSI Sajid Jaral under the supervision of SHO Police Station Samba
Rajeshwar Singh, Deputy SP Garu Ram Bhardwaj and Additional SP Samba Surinder
Choudhary.
