Samba, May 11 : Police under the professional guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh has achieved another success in anti-drug drive by arresting top intestate narco-smuggler who was evading arrest since 2019 .

The notorious interstate narco-smuggler arrested by Samba Police has been identified as Rashid Hussain Thoker s/o Mohd. Yousaf Thoker r/o Pulwama. He was main accused involved in case FIR No. 261/2019 u/s 8/15/25/29 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Samba in 2019. Moreover, he is also involved in two NDPSA cases registered by Punjab Police viz case FIR No. 81/2022 u/s 15C/29/61/85 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Maqsudan district Jalandhar (Punjab) & case FIR No. 9/2021 u/s 15C/27/29/61/85 registered at Police Station Goraya district Jalandhar (Punjab).

Samba Police had been conducting raids at various suspected hideouts of this top smuggler in JK UT and outside the UT finally succeeded in locating & capturing him. The arrest was made by a Police team comprising of SHO Police Station Samba Rajeshwar Singh, PSI Davinder Singh & PSI Shakti Singh under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram Bhardwaj and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh has issued directions to all Police officers to arrest all smugglers, suppliers and peddlers of narcotic substances and to clear Samba district from the ugly drug menace.
