JAMMU, Aug 25: The Jammu and Kashmir unit of Shiv Sena (Bala Saheb Thackeray) today staged a strong protest and burnt the effigy of Union Minister Narayan Rane over his controversial speech.
Led by Manish Sahni, J&K President Shiv Sena, the Shiv Sainiks assembled at party office raised slogans against Narayan Rane, who made indecent remarks against the party national president and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, demanding public apology and expulsion from the Modi cabinet.
While exhorting the BJP leaders to control their language, Sahni said that Shiv Sainiks know how to answer in every language and BJP is fully aware of our attitude.
Sahni said that the BJP Government in the Centre should realise that its image is getting tainted by a leader like Narayan Rane. BJP should not allow such person in running the affairs of government for the sake of coming to power.
Among those who were present include President Women’s Wing Meenakshi Chhibber, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi , Chairman Rakesh Gupta, Vice president Sanjeev Kohli. Secretary Geeta Lakhotra, Youth leader Rajesh Handa , Dimple , Bodraj , Arun and many others were present.
