SriLanka: President AnuraKumaraDissanayake has approved the removal of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon after a historic parliamentary vote.
A special committee found him guilty of abuse of power and misconduct. A new IGP will be nominated pending Constitutional Council approval.
