Samba: Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh presided over two police-
public meetings at border villages of Koulpur and Kamore in Ramgarh sector of Samba
district where hundreds of people from all walks of life were present and aired their
grievances.
District police chief was accompanied by SDPO Vijaypur Priyanka Kumari, Deputy SP
Garu Ram Bhardwaj and SHO police station Ramgarh Asha Nand, whereas public side was
represented by the prominent citizens of nine border villages including Sarpanch Capt
Retd. Jasbir Singh, Sarpanch Kuldeep Kumar Verma , Sarpanch Kali Dass, Principal Sandeep
Choudhary, Lambardar Raja Singh and Naib Sarpanch Jagdish Kumar
Most of the issues raised by the public were redressed on the spot, whereas
directions were issued to the concerned officers to solve all the police-related grievances
highlighted by the people at the police-public meetings.
In his address, SSP Samba Ben am Tosh said that by way of holding more and more
interactions and meetings with the public, Samba police will come closer to the people so
that their genuine grievances could be studied and redressed to the fullest satisfaction of
the people. He further said police intends to eradicate drugs abuse & deadly narcotics
addiction in the public interest and towards that end, police is committed to track down all
smugglers and suppliers of narcotic substances, drugs & liquor. Police will also organise
cultural events and other entertainment activities at different places to explore talented
potential of the people, SSP added.
