KATHUA; 17 MAY; Acting sternly against illegal mining within the district, Kathua Police today seized 04 vehicles (including 01 Excavator Machine, 01 Dumper & 02 Tractor trolleys) indulged in illegal mining/transportation of construction material within kathua District.
In the first instance on 17.05.2023 A Police team headed by PSI Rahul Prashar IC PP Nagri under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua Sh. Manjeet Singh & Insp. Sudhir Sadhotra SHO PS Kathua during patrolling/checking duty in its jurisdictional area at Pandori area seized 01 Excavator Machine being driven by Amit Kumar S/o Bishan Dass R/o Bhamial Tehsil and District Pathankot alongwith 01 Dumper bearing Reg. No. PB35Z-0737 driven by person namely Mubarak Hussain S/o Abdul Sadiq indulged in illegal mining/ transportation of construction material without any legal permission. While in the second instance on 17/05/2023 the police team of PS Billawar led by Insp. Jatinder Singh SHO PS Billawar under the supervision of SDPO Billawar Sh. Arvind kumar JKPS during patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area near Naaj Bride intercepted two tractors alongwith Trolleys bearing Reg. Nos. JK08F-6284 driven by Roshan Lal S/o Bishan Das R/o Garh Tehsil Billawar and other bearing Reg. No JK08L-6245 driven by Sunil Kumar S/o Bal Krishan R/o Tilla Tehsil Billawar coming from Naaj Bridge loaded with Crusher Sand without “A” form. Meanwhile all the 04 vehicles indulged in illegal mining were seized & immediately handed over to the officials of the Geological and Mining department Kathua for further legal proceedings.
