Reasi: 28 Mar 2025: In a continued effort to strengthen the bond between the Indian Army and local communities, a ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ was organized with the Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities at the remote location of Makhidhar in Reasi district. The interactive session provided a platform for open dialogue, where community members shared their concerns and aspirations. The Indian Army reaffirmed its commitment to fostering peace, development and security in the region.

Discussions centered on welfare initiatives, educational opportunities and employment avenues for the youth. The event was marked by a warm exchange of ideas over traditional tea, reflecting the spirit of mutual trust and cooperation. The Gujjar and Bakkarwal community expressed their appreciation for the Army’s outreach efforts and its role in ensuring the well-being of the region.
