Lecture on Women Empowerment Conducted for Women at Lam, Rajouri

Rajouri: 27 Mar 2025: The Indian Army organized an inspiring session on Women Empowerment for women at Pukharni. The engaging session aimed to inspire and uplift young minds, promoting the importance of self-belief, education and the collective power of women.

The attendees were introduced to some of the most influential women in India’s history, such as Kalpana Chawla, Sunita Williams, Mithali Raj, Indira Gandhi, Mary Kom, Kiran Bedi, Arundhati Roy and Dr. Tessy Thomas, the “Missile Woman of India,” to name a few. These women made significant contributions in their fields and have been role models for generations to come. The students were later called upon stage to express their ambitions in life. The lecture focused on giving impetus to education and financial independence which are powerful tools in the journey of empowerment. Important aspects such as the wellbeing of women, women’s equality, opportunities for self-development and how empowered women can be the building blocks of the nation were discussed by the students. The event not only motivated the women to work hard but also provided information about government schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Mahila E-Haat and various skill development programs. As the event concluded, the women expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Army for organizing such a truly enlightening interactive session and for their continuous support in motivating and guiding the youth toward a better life. The Indian Army commended the participants for their active involvement and urged them to embrace the lessons learned to create a brighter and more equitable future. A total of 18 women attended the event.
