GOVERNMENT OF INDIA VISIT OF MAJ GEN RANJAN MAHAJAN, ADG JK&L DIRECTORATE NCC CAMP GUREZ

Maj Gen Ranjan Mahajan, Additional Director General, Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh Directorate visited various locations in Kashmir Valley from 21-24 Sep 21. He visited Srinagar from 21 To 22 Sep 21 wherein he visited the NCC Gp HQ and interacted with Officers and Staff of NCC. He also interacted with the NCC Cadets from Srinagar.

     

Maj Gen Ranjan Mahajan, Additional Director General, Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh Directorate visited NCC Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) at Dawar, Gurez on   22-23 Sep 21. The training of NCC cadets in Kashmir Valley has taken a proactive and dynamic turn amidst the hostile Corona environment.

3 J&K Bn has conducted NCC Camp from 16-24 Sep 21 in Gurez. 175 Boys and Girls NCC Cadets from Handwara, Baramulla, Uri, Bandipora, Gurez, Sopore, Anantnag, Pulwama, Qazigund and Jammu participated in this camp. Security Forces at Gurez facilitated the conduct of this camp by providing security and logistic support.

         

During the visit, the NCC cadets gave the ADG, a Guard of Honour. The ADG inspected small arms firing by young cadets. Thereafter, the ADG witnessed the Parade of the cadets at the base of mighty Habba Khatoon Mountain. ADG spoke to the Cadets and motivated them to become good citizens and undertake successful future endeavours. The ADG, also felicitated and rewarded the meritorious cadets who had excelled during the course of training.

  The ADG made a special attempt to meet newly enrolled cadets of
AGS, Dawar and assured them to extend all possible help to expand NCC in the Border town Gurez.

The NCC cadets presented a very warm and colourful cultural programme during camp fire.
