Indian Army organised a lecture to spread awareness about various women related welfare schemes of the Government. The lecture organised at Surankote, Poonch District. During the interaction, the attendees explained about the importance of women in the progress of the society and the need to strengthen efforts being made towards women empowerment in the region.
Life stories of prominent Indian Women were discussed to motivate the gathering for achieving excellence in their chosen fields. This opportunity was also utilised to highlight various initiatives of the Government such as ‘Sukanya Samridhi Yojana. Ujjwala Scheme’, ‘State Marriage Assistance Scheme’, ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao etc. The attendees appreciated the efforts being made by Indian Army through numerous educative and skill development programs to inspire, encourage and guide them towards a brighter future
