Samba: October 30,2025: As a part of celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National UnityDay) commemorating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the “Iron Man of India”, Samba Police organized series of events across the district in consecutive day at Police Stations level to honor his legacy and promote the
spirit of national unity.
Police Station Vijaypur: As part of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations, a cleanliness
drive was jointly organized in and around AIIMS Vijaypur by the Samba Police in
collaboration with the staff of AIIMS Vijaypur. The drive aimed to promote the spirit of
national unity, public responsibility and environmental awareness among citizens.
Police Station Ramgarh: A symposium on “Rashtriya Ekta: Unity in diversity” was held at
Modern Institute of Education and Research, Koulpur Ramgarh drawing enthusiastic
participation from over 150 students and faculty members. Eight students delivered
insightful speeches on the topic. The top three speaker students were rewarded suitably
for their outstanding presentations.
Police Station Ghagwal: A symposium on “The Life, Vision, and Inspiration of Sardar
Vallabhbhai Patel” was organized at Government Higher Secondary School Rajpura with
around 100 students and faculty members in attendance. Four students participated,
expressing Patel’s enduring influence on India’s unity and governance. All the speaker
students were presented with rewards.
Police Station Samba: A “cleanliness drive at SDH Samba” was carried out by the Samba
Police alongwith Civil Society Samba and Health Department Samba. The initiative aimed
to spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness and community participation
and fostering national unity.
In another programme, Police officers of PS Samba delivered informative sessions on
Cyber Awareness, Cyber Security, e-FIR, Zero FIR, Traffic Rules and various aspects of
Police Work at Adarsh Vidya Peeth Higher Secondary School, Samba as a part of
observance of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and National Unity
Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas).
Police Station Bari Brahmana: A symposium on “Rashtriya Ekta: Unity in diversity” to
commemorate the ideals of national integration and unity was held at St. Mary Convent
High School, Smailpur which was attended by approximately 120 students and faculty
members. Ten students actively took part in the symposium and spoke on the life,
achievements, and immense contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel towards the
unification of India. The best three speaker students were suitably rewarded for their
outstanding presentations.
Police Station Purmandal: A debate competition on the theme “Building a Progressive and
United India” was organized by Samba Police at Govt. Higher Secondary School,
Utterbehani. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 180 students and
faculty members. A total of ten students took part as active debaters, presenting their
views on ways to strengthen unity and foster progress in the nation. The best three
speaker students were suitably rewarded.
