Drug abuse is a pressing problem of the Society which damages the mental health and also has negative social and economic consequences. To combat this issue, the senior citizens and Elders gathered at Gali Maidan, one of the far flung areas of Poonch district and pledged to fight against drugs and make their society drug free.
The gathering was attended by a large no of locals of the area and they were addressed by Village Sarpanch Bashir Mir, Maulvi Akbar Mir and Lambardar Md Gulwar, taken oath to eradicate drugs from their locality and the elders are committed to creating a safe, healthy, and drug-free society.
