SHARING THE SPIRIT OF DIWALI WITH VEER NARIS AND WIDOWS IN SUNDERBANI

On the eve of Diwali, Indian Army shared the festive spirit and festival of lights with our Veer Naris and Widows at Sunderbani Tehsil of (J&K). A gift hamper with sweets, Diyas, Candles and Full Jharis were presented to them (460 in total) in their respective homes by team of officers, ladies and soldiers. A central event was also organised at village Bajabain where approx 110 Veer Naris and  widows were presented these gifts by own ladies and  officers in presence of village officials including the Block Development Chairman Mr Arun Kumar Sharma, Sarpanch’s of four nearby villages and 25 Ex-Servicemen. Detailed interaction and discussion was also held to address their problems. The event not only lit their spirits and established connect with the Indian Army but also helped in addressing their concerns. This small gesture of the Indian Army of remembering our Veer Naris and widows was widely acknowledged and well appreciated by the villagers
