The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has announced the adoption of virtual hearings and hybrid working arrangements

The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has announced the adoption of virtual hearings and hybrid working arrangements as part of fuel conservation measures following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for “economic self-defence” amid concerns over rising crude oil prices and energy security.
According to a circular issued by the Registrar General, the measures have come into effect from today and will remain in force until further orders. The High Court said virtual hearings and virtual appearances by advocates will be encouraged, subject to prescribed decorum and protocol for online proceedings.
