Akhnoor : 15 Apr 2023:The three weeks workshop on spoken english and personality development for youths border villages in Akhnoor concludes today. The workshop was jointly organised by the district education department, Akhnoor, Indian Army and Sunail village committee at Govt High School, Sunail in Akhnoor sector of Jammu district. Total 40 students benefitted from the workshop which was inaugrated by Mrs Suman Bala, ZEO Akhnoor.
On the closing ceremony a lecture on Healthy lifestyle was also organised which was taken by Dr Shallu Sharma to increase the awareness on the healthy living especially amongst youth. She emphasised upon the importance of physical fitness and healthy eating habits and how to inculcate it in ones daily routine.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC chairman Akhnoor Smt Sharda Bhau thanked Dr Shallu Sharma for the lecture and appreciated the govt, Indian Army and Sunail Village Committe’s effort towards this important aspect in today’s world. She urged parents and schools to organise more such classes as Spoken English not only can be an important factor in getting job but also makes one more confident.
