CBI registers an FIR against Punjab Chief Minister’s OSD Rajbir Ghuman and his associates over allegations of “cash for transfers”, manipulation of postings of IAS and IPS officers, and other corruption-related offences.
The agency conducts raids at eight premises across Chandigarh, Mohali, Gurdaspur, Ludhiana, Patiala, Sangrur and Jalandhar, seizing laptops, mobile phones and documents for scrutiny.
The action follows an order by the Punjab and Haryana High Court to transfer the related corruption case from the Enforcement Directorate to the CBI.
