In Continuation of series of physical fitness drive, to inculcate the spirit of staying healthy, Indian Army organised interactive session with youth on merits of Physical Fitness. Indian Army also organised an awareness lecture on “Importance of Physical Fitness” at Govt Model Higher Secondary School, Lamberi, Reasi (J&K). Understanding the benefits of physical fitness, implementing physical activities, and healthy dietary parameters helps to maintain good health and improve overall quality of life. Physical fitness results in strong bones, seamless cardio vascular functions and strong muscles which results in better health. Reduces risk of several diseases like blood pressure, diabetes. Its arrests stress and makes one feel better. Playing games for maintaining a good health instill sportsman spirit and ‘Never Give in Attitude’ towards life. Regular exercising develop flexibility, stability, reduces the risk of injuries and illness. The enthusiasm displayed by the participants indicated that the awareness lecture has a long lasting impact on youth towards physical fitness. With dedicated practices they will channelise their energy towards spreading positively in society. A Large number of youth attended the event.
